Picking up his first pair of drumsticks at the age of 8, Kenwood Dennard went on to become a highly sought-after drummer in the funk, jazz, and pop worlds. Having played with the likes of Wayne Shorter, Sting, and Herbie Hancock, Dennard is known for his versatility, a strength which he tries to encourage in his students. Here, he teaches drummers how to make the most of their instrument, by fully utilizing their practice time, really listening to and absorbing the melody, and mastering the solo.
