Austrian television captured a remarkable concert in 1991 when they trained their cameras on Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, who was performing Schubert`s DIE SCHVNE MLLERIN for the first time in 20 years. As Fischer-Dieskau, pianist Andras Schiff provided accompaniment, with the collaborative effort providing listeners with a hugely pleasurable experience. This release offers the show in full, and is released to coincide with the 80th birthday of Fischer-Dieskau.

Celtic musician Zan McLeod presents a traditional instrument from the Emerald Isle in LEARN TO PLAY THE IRISH BOUZOUKI. The bouzouki is a stringed instrument similar to the mandolin, and is usually played with a flatpick. McLeod teaches the viewer the basics of the bouzouki, explaining how to properly tune it and play basic scales and chords.
Once the basic techniques are shown, McLeod continues by displaying rhythm techniques. Finally, accompanied by accordionist Billy McComisky, McLeod demonstrates how the bouzouki is used in traditional Irish songs.
