The Magic Flute (DVD)
Written just before his death, Mozart's THE MAGIC FLUTE provides a highly entertaining operatic drama that follows the efforts of Tamino (Piotr Beczala) to rescue the beautiful Pamina (Malin Hartelius), the daughter of the forbidding Queen of Night (Elena Mosuc). Armed only with a magic flute, Tamino makes his way to Pamina, but with great risk to his own life. This 2000 Zurich Opera production, directed by Jonathan Miller, with set designs by Philip Prowse, sets the opera in 1791, at the time of Mozart's original creation, shortly after the French Revolution.DVD Features:Region [unknown]Keep Case
