Guitar legend Joe Maphis made his name as the bandleader on TOWN HALL PARTY, the popular barn dance show that ran from 1952 until 1961, and this collection features some of his best performances, taken from 1958 to 1959. Maphis plays with Merle Travis, Larry Collins, and Rose Lee Maphis, with hits by such greats as Chet Atkins and Bill Monroe.
