The reputation of the Kirov Ballet resonates throughout the world of the performing arts. Here, they work their magic throughout three different programs. Beautiful Dobro virtuoso Cindy Cashdollar (her real name) won five Grammys during her ten-year tenure with the band Asleep At the Wheel and has played with Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan (on the Time Out of Mind album), Merle Haggard, Graham Parker, George Strait, the Dixie Chicks, popular Cajun band BeauSoleil, and Leon Redbone, among many others. In this superb instructional film, Cashdollar teaches her western swing style and blues, along with different tunings and picking approaches, using songs including Rockabilly Blues, Panhandle Rag, Faded Love, and Minor Swing.

Performed at the Palais Garnier by the OpUra National de Paris in July 2004, this staging of Philippe Taglioni's classic ballet stars leading ballerina AurUlie Dupont in the title role of Sylphide once played by Marie Taglione, the choreographer's daughter. This revival performance is actually a reconstruction of Pierre Lacotte's well-known 1972 version. In expressing Lacotte's (and Taglioni's) original choreography, Dupont and her male partner Mathieu Ganio recreate the style that defined the romantic ballet.

This rendition of Mozart`s classic opera sees Bryn Terfel taking the role of Don Giovanni alongside Renie Fleming, who plays Donna Anna. James Levine conducts the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and Chorus.
