Although the famous opera has been interpreted and performed in many different ways, few have taken to the production of MADAMA BUTTERFLY with the same gusto and guile as soprano Anna Moffo. Fully inhabiting the role of Cio-Cio San, Moffo pulls off a stunning performance in this production, which was filmed on January 24th, 1956.
