Named after John Milton's epic poem, death metal group Paradise Lost formed in 1988 in Fairfax, England. The band consisted of Nick Holmes (vocals), Gregor Mackintosh (lead guitar), Aaron Aedy (rhythm guitar), Steve Edmunson (bass), and Matthew Archer (drums). PARADISE LOST- LIVE DEATH follows the group in their early days before signing with Peaceville Records. This release features a concert from November 1989, before the release of the band's self-titled debut. The world-renowned Mozarteum Orchestra of Salzburg is conducted by Hans Graf in the classical works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The Symphony in D major, K 95 and the Symphony in E flat major, K 467 are beautifully performed by the Mozarteum Orchestra under the direction of Hans Graf. In the Piano Concerto in C major, K 467, the Mozarteum Orchestra is joined in an inspired performance by Maria Tipo as piano soloist.
