Original Dance Hall Jam Jam (DVD)
This is a jammin' night hosted by Coco Tea, featuring all the best toasters and DJ's, and promoting a positive message through progressive Rasta teachings at a regular event in Jamaica. The lineup includes the inspirational and spiritual--though sometimes controversial--Sizzla, with his versatile, gruff, gravelly tone that can range from melodic song to the rapid-fire spoken word he is known for, as well as the legendary reggae icon Barrington Levy, who almost singlehandedly transformed the dancehall scene in the 1980s. Coco Tea himself has long been a distinctive voice on the scene, maintaining his popularity and withstanding the test of time with his laid-back, lover's rock style that retains a streetwise edge, and promotes a socially conscious message. Other artistes making an appearance are Sanchez, Louie Culture, Cutty Ranks, Jimmy Riley, and Turbulence.

After Irena (Nastassia Kinski), a young woman with a mysterious past, is reunited with her brother Paul (Malcom MacDowell), a series of bizarre events is set into motion. When Irena discovers that her sexuality is intimately linked with that of her brother's--as well as with a strange human-feline metamorphosis they secretly share--the moment is both frightening and alluring. A remake of the 1942 supernatural horror film of the same name, Paul Schrader's version of CAT PEOPLE is more graphic, more eroticized, and more detailed in content. Shot in New Orleans, an eerie stillness permeates the film, coupled with naturally delivered dialogue that moves the story along. Ruby Dee provides extra mysterious insinuations as Female, the sibling's live-in servant in their French-style mansion, and John Heard is perfectly cast as Oliver, the animal biologist and love interest of Irena.DVD Features:Region 0Keep Case
