This moving work from Leonard Bernstein was originally composed to honor the memory of John F. Kennedy. Bernstein whips up an eclectic musical storm by combining a dazzling variety of genres into a heady mix. Drawing on jazz, blues, rock, and classical styles, Mass is a hugely ambitious piece that requires an extraordinarily large cast and crew for the production to be staged.
