This screen has been hand-made from light Ramin wood and strong pressed pulp rice paper; horizontal matchsticks reinforce the rice paper panels. The rice paper allows diffused light while providing complete privacy. A drawing of a samurai warrior fending off arrows has been printed on the paper. The screen was made in the Guangdong province of mainland China.
