This workshop (led by acclaimed bassist and instructor David Friesen on bass, and Jerry Hahn on guitar) took place in 2003, as part of a tour sponsored by string-maker Thomastik-Infeld. Covering a wide range of helpful topics (such as: practice and listening tools, working in a small group format, and improving one's sense of time), DAVID FRIESEN JAZZ WORKSHOP seeks to help students connect with their true drive and passion for playing. The workshop also contains performances by Friesen and Hahn, as well as discussions with students about common issues and challenges faced by many musicians.
