Shot at the Musikverein in Vienna, this concert features Italian pianist Maurizio Pollini as he plays five piano concertos by some of the great composers. The Vienna Philharmonic, conducted by Karl Bvhm, accompanies Pollini on Beethoven`s third and fifth piano concertos, as well as Mozart`s concertos nos. 19
and 23. Claudio Abbado assumes conducting duties for the Brahms piano concerto no. 2 in B-flat major.
