Prominent Russian violinist DAVID OISTRAKH is featured in a number of live performances collected here. Oistrakh was the best-known classical performer produced by the Soviet Union in the mid-20th century. A teacher at the Moscow Conservatory, he also recorded almost every classical violin standard, and collaborated with many well-known composers.
