Captured live in London at the Royal Festival Hall, this is a great way to experience the music of the legendary Duke Ellington. The Bob Wilber Big Band work their way through a number of classic numbers from the jazz giant, comfortably interpreting some highly revered material throughout the show. Wilber has worked extensively with Ellington's material in the past, earning a Grammy award for his work on the COTTON CLUB soundtrack, which was littered with compositions from the late jazz man. Performed at the Palais Garnier by the OpUra National de Paris in July 2004, this staging of Philippe Taglioni's classic ballet stars leading ballerina AurUlie Dupont in the title role of Sylphide once played by Marie Taglione, the choreographer's daughter. This revival performance is actually a reconstruction of Pierre Lacotte's well-known 1972 version. In expressing Lacotte's (and Taglioni's) original choreography, Dupont and her male partner Mathieu Ganio recreate the style that defined the romantic ballet.

Considered by many to be the best Elvis movie, KING CREOLE stars the young Mr. Presley as Danny Fisher, a singer with a knack for getting into trouble. After the cops nab him for stealing, Danny vows never to violate the law again. He manages to land a gig singing at a hip nightclub in the French Quarter of New Orleans. However, mobster Maxie Fields (Walter Matthau) soon demands that Danny perform exclusively for him.
