Three of the most respected musicians of the 20th century formed THE ISTOMIN, STERN& ROSE TRIO in 1961, featuring Eugene Istomin on piano, Isaac Stern with the violin, and Leonard Rose with the cello. Each musician was celebrated as an individual, and formed the trio because they saw in each other musicians with like-minded ideas.
