This extravagant staging of Giuseppe Verdi's most well-known opera takes place in the outdoor setting of the Roman St. Margarethen quarry. The lavish nature of AIDA is brought to fruition with larger-than-life features like pyrotechnics, and a parade of over 400 people (as well as elephants and horses) at the conclusion of the opera's second act.
