This volume of the Classic Archive series pays tribute to the legendary French cellist Paul Tortelier with a 1969 performance of Beethoven`s SONATA NO.3 at Paris`s Salle Gaveau with Italian pianist Sergio Lorenzi, as well as a 1964 appearance at Britain`s Norwich Festival with accompaniment by Tortelier`s own wife, son, and daughter on compositions by Bach, Ravel, and Handel.
