This two-hour-long farewell performance delivered a fittingly grandiose commemoration of the seminal British band. Held at the London Bloomsbury Theatre in June of 2003, the song selection spanned the entirety of the group`s 35-year career, and demonstrated their ever-impressive capacity for improvisation. Formed in 1968 out of the remnants of influential Canterbury band the Wilde Flowers, Caravan has survived numerous line-up changes and continued to experiment with their sound. This performance includes both an electric and an acoustic set, and features songs such as
Golf Girl,
The Dog, the Dog, he`s at it Again,
The Unauthorized Breakfast Item,
and
Love Song with Flute.
Also included is an interview with Mark Powell, and a 1973 promotional video for
The Dog, the Dog, He`s at it Again.
