The history of Mozart`s two-act opera DIE ZAUBERFLOTE (THE MAGIC FLUTE) stretches back to its debut in Vienna in 1791. Sadly, Mozart died just two months later, but the opera has remained a favorite across the globe for more than two centuries. Here it is performed by a superlative cast that includes the Grammy Award-winning Kurt Moll, Slovakian coloratura Edita Gruberova, and Austrian soprano Lucia Popp.
