Paul Kramer has been the National Mandolin Champion and has worked with a number of bands for whom he played fiddle, mandolin, and guitar; he has a star-studded history of playing alongside the likes of Pam Tillis, Rhett Atkins, Lorrie Morgan, Lionel Cartwright, and many others. On this instructional Paul has isolated 10 different styles of country guitar and written representative solos to demonstrate them; styles included are chicken pickin`, Nashville, double-stop, bluegrass, banjo, steel guitar, rockabilly, melody style and country rock. Paul teaches each of these styles as well as the reasons behind his choices while writing the pieces, and he also covers such material as anticipating chord changes, amp and effects setup, and building to a climax.
